| Located north of Gratiot on Russell St., The Eastern Market is the most popular place to tailgate in Detroit. We tailgate in the large open lot south of the pavilions known as LOT 1.
COST:
Tickets are $35 for cars/trucks; $125 for RVs; $155 Motor Coach tailgate parking and $10 for parking only. Several of the area restaurants such as Vivio’s Food & Spirits and Roma Café provide free shuttle service with purchases at their restaurants. Tailgate and parking lots open four hours prior to each game and close 2 hours after the game ends..
Ford Field is approximately 6-7 blocks (10-15 min. walk) from the Eastern Market. See image below. Shuttle service to the stadium is available for $5 round trip. Taxis are available at a negotiable rate; ideal rate is $2/person plus modest tip.
The Eastern Market has three large public restrooms open to tailgaters.
Trash bags and bins for garbage, and coal bins to dispose of your hot coals from the grill are available throughout the market.
