Myths, Magic and Beer

In 1992, a scruffy band of Lion season ticket holders strapped a foosball table to the back of an RV and headed for the Silverdome. Some say it was a lightning strike and others say it was a freak mixture of beer, blood and coney dog sauce that brought the table to life, but it's power is undeniable.

Those original tailgaters disbanded in 1997, but the table was restless, and moved from house to house, party to party, until one day it found a home in the basement of a log cabin deep in the woods of Michigan. There, it bided it's time and gathered it's strength and began the transformation from an average, busted-up foosball table to a legendary folk icon of the metro area.

In 2001, the table returned to the Silverdome with a new group of tailgaters who were totally unaware of the table's tailgating past. Upon learning of the historical and cultural treasure they possessed, these tailgaters rebuilt and resurfaced the table in 2004, making it more powerful than ever.

With this new-found power, the table expanded its' ranks and its' influence continues to this day. It's inspired the addition of live bands, new members, a beer sponsor and a fully functional bar.

Come have a beer and visit the oldest tailgating foosball table in Detroit, if not the entire world. Take a turn and give it a play. You know it wants you to. It can't be denied.
